I’m grossed out by the kind of stuff tumblr does to its users over an extended period of time

Grammar and punctuation is completely lost on some people, to the point where their posts are unreadable and irritating

And tumblr fosters and feeds this incredible narcissism and need to impress people- people who don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.

A Texas man is under arrest after gunning down a SWAT team member as the officer quietly tried to climb in through the apartment’s window during predawn hours.
Police State USAreports  that a resident fatally shot Detective Charles “Chuck” Dinwiddie as the officer climbed in through a ground level window as part of a “no knock” raid. The officers were there due to suspicion that residents were in possession of controlled substances.
Upon hearing a noise, resident Marvin Louis Guy, 50, opened fire on the unidentified officers, shooting three others as well, although only one fatally.
Guy is currently being held on capital murder charges in connection with Dinwiddie’s death, even though it’s unclear how Guy was supposed to know that the men crawling in through the window were police officers since they hadn’t identified themselves.
The evidence sheet lists a laptop, a safe, a pistol, and a glass pipe, but no drugs were found. Given the evidence, why did police deem it necessary to seek a “no knock” warrant and why did a judge sign off on it?
Very little is known about Mr. Guy, but Dinwiddie left behind two children, all because his SWAT team went creeping into a home where the residents didn’t even have any drugs. Is that the best use of law enforcement tax dollars?
Guy’s bond has been set at $3 million dollars.

Thank you lieutenantnorals!

It has nothing to do with white people you fuck! For all you know the swat team couldve had black members. This kind of ignorance is going to tear this country apart. Instead of focusing on police brutality and joining together and taking down the tyrannical police departments, were simply blaming it all on race, just like they want us to.

Folks,The original post didnt state anything about white people

No your right it was the person i reblogged it from he tagged it with a racial remark. But what im saying is that it has nothing to do with race, its about police brutality and we all need to stand TOGETHER against it. You feel me man?

No, because police brutality disproportionately targets people of color.. Race DOES matter.. I’m sorry that you’re white and don’t know shit about race/racism so it makes you uncomfortable but for those of us who are NOT white we have no choice but to know that usually, this stuff IS about race..

"There could have been black SWAT team members" so utterly misses the point that one is inclined to assume that missing the point WAS the point.
OF COURSE this is about race. I looked for background about this case and I found a bunch of people citing it in triumphant backlash against protests around Michael Brown’s death. To many, that’s all this case is. A black man gunning down a white cop. That’s the narrative they will shove this case into. That’s the narrative that has Marvin Lewis Guy facing the death penalty for an act that gun rights activists have explicitly sought to promote. And where are they now? Maybe they’ll hear about this case and get upset, but then they’ll see the mugshot and sit on their hands.
How is this about race? Look up Henry Magee. Just like Marvin Lewis Guy, he is from Texas. He also had a swat team raid his home looking for drugs. Unlike with Guy, they actually FOUND drugs, though nothing remotely like what their informant suggested. Like with Guy, Magee shot and killed an officer trying to force his way into his home. But unlike Guy, the prosecutor didn’t ask a Grand Jury to indict Magee and sure enough, they didn’t. He faced no charges for the shooting.

Henry Magee is white.
